Odongo Abraham 17/U/9494/PS (March 29th, 2021 - April 4th, 2021)

1. On Monday 29th March, we met our supervisor to bring forward our project idea and get guidance in line with it. 2. I made a visit with the rest of my group mates to Kabanyolo Farm, a Makerere University Agricultural Research Center. The aim of the visit was to get an understanding of the maize plant which is the focus of our project. The information gathered included the gestation period of maize, best practices to achieve high quality yield to mention but a few. 3. We had a successful interview with a one Mr. Lwasa Stephen, the farm manager. We used a questionnaire to carry out the interview. 4. I was the Secretary, in charge of noting down the responses from Mr. Lwasa. 5. I sat down with the rest of the group and we were tasked to make meaning out of the information we had gathered during our first visit.

SHYAKA BRIAN 17/U/10031/EVE (May 8th, 2021 - May 15th, 2021)

1. In this week, we just continued with the data collection document design.] 2. We later met as a group to discuss how we were going to design the software requirements specifications. 3. this involved distributing tasks to group members to do during the following week.

SHYAKA BRIAN 17/U/10031/EVE (April 28th - May 6th, 2021)

Activities 1. In this week, we concentrated on understanding the soil science and how it leads to the deficiency of nutrients in maize. 2. we met up with a senior soil scientist Dr. Ebanyat Peter from the school of Agriculture who gave us the in-depth lecture of how the plants react when deficient of the major three nutrients(NPK). 3. I carried out more research on the deficiencies and the soil science of nutrient management for a better yield

SHYAKA BRIAN 17/U/10031/EVE (April 18th, 2021 - April 26, 2021)

1.  In this week, we made our second visit to the Makerere University Kabanyoro Research center to collect more indepth data relevant to the study. 2.  I generated some of the interview materials that were required for that day and also did the virtual collection of data by taking pictures of the maize leaves so as to acquire a clear image. 3. We later continued with the design of our data collection document basing on the futher data we had gotten from the research center.

SHYAKA BRIAN 17/U/10031/EVE (APRIL 8th - APRIL 16th)

Activities carried out in this week include: 1. In this week, we did review and analysis of the data and information that we had gathered from the field. 2. We also continued to carryout interviews at different places, these include school of Veterinary medicine, school of agriculture where we gathered more data relevant to our study. 3. As the group we agreed to start designing our data collection document that was to base on the information gathered from the field.

Makwasi Crispus 17/U/5910/PS (APR 16 - APR 25)

 During this week we as a team came up with interview questions and set up meetings with students and lecturers and CAES college of agriculture Makerere.  This was followed by a group discussion to analyze the finding and we also started on writing the data design document.

SHYAKA BRIAN 17/U/10031/EVE (March 29th 2021 - April 4th 2021)

 The following are the activities i carried out by shyaka Brian from March 29th to april 4th 2021. 1. We had a meeting with our supervisor about our project idea  2. We later had a meeting with the group to discuss where we were going to do our field survey from with the specified scope. 3. I pplayed the greater role of acquiring the place where to do the information gathering by contacting them and requesting for permission 4. After acquiring permission from both the university, we went to
